Charterhouse Centre

Charterhouse is set in the heart of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The adjoining 70 acres of nature reserve is perfect for educational and environmental activities.

The Centre has 11 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 63 residents.  One of our rooms is located on the ground floor so is easily accessible.  A proportion of these rooms have ensuite facilities, which are available if occupied by adults.

The main building contains a large dining room, a well appointed kitchen, a visitors lounge, male and female toilets and showers, plus our reception and staff offices.  Many areas have recently been refurbished.

A large classroom housed in a separate building is available for use, along with ample outdoor space and a designated camp fire area.

Charterhouse is an award winning centre due to having been built to high environmental standards.  A large part of the centre has been built using sustainable materials, such as Western Red Cedar and Sedum Roofing.

The centre is heated by a woodchip boiler, with fuel sourced from a local provider.
